Around The World Voyage : Commentary

We are now on the Island of Yap and have been here for a few days. When you get here, it's always hard to jump on the computer and write updates every day. You just want to go ashore and start exploring. We were suppose to leave today, but guess what? We have another tropical depression that is located 160nm northwest of us. The good news is that it is moving away to the northwest at 11knts. To be on the safe side were waiting 24 hrs to depart.
Tom has left the boat and is flying out early Friday morning. We're going to miss him - great crewmember and a good cook. Tom took most of the pictures that you see on our web page, but Dave and I will try to pick up the slack on picture taking. Thanks, Tom for all the help and good food.
Our new crewmember is Brad Smith. Brad is part of the Nordhavn family at PAE, and one of our commissioning technicians. We were very glad to see him because he brought new books, music CDs and, most importantly, the air conditioning unit! Yea! Brad is in the process of installing it as I type this.
I know it seems like I say this with every stop, but to date, Yap has truly been the nicest island we have seen. There is so much that I want to tell all of you about this wonderful place but I'll save it for future reports from the boat. I'm looking forward to telling you all about it. I know you're going to love reading it.
