Around The World Voyage : Commentary : Leg 3

April 15, 2002

With Morocco to the left of us and Spain to the right, we are almost in the Atlantic. What a difference a day makes. We started our day with the usual 25 knot head winds and wicked little seas, but by noon we started seeing the seas lay down. The wind has been blowing all day at about 20 knots on our nose but no seas to speak of. Soon we will be making about a 45 deg. turn to port and be on our rhumb line to Grand Canary. Pork chops in the oven cold beer in hand and all is well aboard the good ship Nordhavn.
