Around The World Voyage : Commentary : Leg 4

June 4, 2002

It's 7:45 a.m. local time and we're out 25 miles from Acapulco Bay. I just finished making pancakes, Dan is on watch and Kevin has a line in for the final time. In fact, just prior to me starting this message he had something really big on the hook but it got off. We're being escorted in by a school of dolphins that are jumping around the boat and our spirits are sky high with the scene and the thought of reaching port.

It's been a real pleasure for me to share the events of our Leg of this epic voyage of the Nordhavn 40 and I hope you've been entertained as much as we have. If you have any thoughts about taking on such an adventure and need advice or information, call the PAE office and any number of the crew members would be more than happy to assist you.

Thanks for all the supportive messages we've received along our path. Smooth seas and fair winds to all of you.
