Harold
Segraves of Camdenton, MO asks:
In
your Feb. 3, 2002 commentary you mentioned the fact that you
purchased drinking water upon leaving Boat Lagoon. Since you
have a water maker on board, will it not make enough water
or is the water that is produced not drinkable?
Brian
Saunders responds:
Our
water maker water is perfect for drinking. We used up our
water in Thailand so rather than wait as we left for it to
fill our tanks (300 gals.), we gave it a hand. Our Spectra
water maker does 400 gallons per day and is very good. It
has been running the whole trip - Alaska included.
