Your specs dont detail the ballast, but I assume it must be there to get the weight of 41,000 lbs. Please tell us what ballast she carries.

Jim Leishman responds:

The NORDHAVN 40 carries 4,000 lbs of lead below the engine and aft of the stuffing box. This weight represents about 10% of the empty weight of the vessel and approximately 50% of the fuel weight. A fully loaded N40 weighs in excess of 50,000 lbs.
