Brian McLenithan of Lansing, MI, asks:

Do you have an inverter for your stove or do you use propane, because from previous questions the generator isn't used very much?

We do have an inverter however the stove and oven are propane. We have two 20-lb. bottles in the stern of the vessel which will last for about 4 months of cooking. The BBQ is also propane. We have portable bottles in addition to an adapter line which allow us to draw propane from the larger 20-lb. bottles.

The generator has only been run to operate the clothes washer and dryer and to compress the trash compactor. All other 120-volt appliances (refrigerator, freezers, AC outlets, computers) run off the inverter which will produce up to 2,500 watts.
