It sounds like the water line probably had to be raised a bunch to accommodate the huge amount of spares aboard. In the unlikely event of hitting something do you have a spare prop and prop shaft?
Although
we have tremendous amount of stores aboard, we did not raise
the waterline. Unlike other coastal designs this Nordhavn
was designed as a full displacement boat. Keep in mind, she
was designed to carry all that one would need to do extended
cruising. Another design plus is the ballasted full keel.
With this type of underbody, the rudder, shaft and prop
are all protected.
