MV “ATLAS” is hull #10 of the Nordhavn 62 series. True to the Nordhavn line, N62 “ATLAS” has logged tens of thousands of miles that include several trans-oceanic passages, confirming her suitability of purpose and exhibiting traits that have made the Nordhavn 62 one of the most successful Nordhavn models to date.

MV “ATLAS” comes to the market as a result of her owners’ changes in future objectives, presenting a rare opportunity to take possession of a fully bunkered  turn-key yacht of this class immediately. Her current owners have thoroughly worked through every equipment and system detail onboard, and have logged many thousands of cruising miles. The exterior is in “Bristol” condition, and the interior is beautifully appointed in a manner that makes every living space a comfortable one.

MV “ATLAS” is easily handled by a couple, offers superb interior design and renowned sea keeping abilities. Enjoying the benefits of a decade-long evolution, the Nordhavn 62 has matured into a proven, timeless passage maker that has achieved an impressive record of successful ocean voyages. Capable of cruising non-stop in excess of 3,000 nautical miles at 9 knots, she is a vessel designed to take her owners around the world in comfort, style and safety. The N62 is arguably the most recognized and admired production displacement recreational trawler ever built. . MV “ATLAS” is carefully maintained, and has been constantly upgraded. Her owner is a Master Mariner who takes great pride in her appearance and in maintaining her operational systems to a high standard, regardless of cost.

MV “ATLAS” is a two owner vessel. Many of her knowledgeable first owner’s design and engineering ideas have been incorporated as standard on subsequent boats of this model.

MV “ATLAS” offers the practical asymmetrical layout with walkway on starboard side, giving huge accommodation space in the saloon and galley.

Stepping through the custom double doors from the cockpit brings you into the saloon/galley area. The dinette is to starboard, with a removable center section to the table. To port is the entertainment center with new digital television and omni-directional antenna. Forward and to port is the functional galley with working and storage space and appliances suitable for the finest chef. To the starboard side of the galley area, there is a foyer with a door leading to the stbd. side deck, stairs leading up aft to the pilothouse, and steps down forward to the accommodation area. The pilothouse settee is L-shaped and has storage beneath; there is a deluxe helm chair, chart storage lockers, a Norcold fridge, numerous drawers and lockers and chart table. There are two Dutch doors leading to the Portuguese bridge deck. Two dorades and three hatches provide ventilation.

Back down below, heading forward from the saloon and down two steps, the owner’s stateroom is to port of the companionway. This stateroom is perfectly positioned just slightly aft of center and is fitted with a queen sized berth and inner spring mattress, and there is an ensuite head with separate stall shower, hanging locker, and make-up bureau desk. Generous hatches and port lights provide ventilation. Storage is very generous in this stateroom.

Just to the aft side of the door to the OSR, is the engine room entrance. The door to the engine room is a watertight door, forming one of the three collision bulkheads in the Nordhavn 62.

Further forward to starboard is the guest stateroom #1 incorporating an ensuite head with separate stall shower. And further forward again is the guest stateroom #2. This stateroom is fitted with a generous double bed and has a full size head and separate stall shower. Below the sole in this head provides access into the pump/plumbing room.

On the starboard side of the companionway going forward from the galley, the electrical distribution board is handily located on the outboard side opposite the access door to the engine room. Forward of the distribution board is a generous walk-in pantry, with shelves and drawers, perfectly suited to storing the ship’s provisions. Forward again on the starboard side of the companionway is a separate day head with wash basin and storage lockers. And forward again on starboard opposite the #1 guest cabin is the work room or laundry room. This area features a large workbench, ironing board, laundry bin and clothes dryer.

Access to the chain locker is through a door in the forward bulkhead, or via the Freeman deck hatch. All hatches throughout have Ocean Air sky screens. The settees in the saloon and pilothouse have recently been reupholstered in Scottish calf skin leather. All berths are fitted with Sheridan sheets and Bemboka blankets.
