“Adventure” is hull 22 of our Nordhavn 62 series and was designed and customized for world cruising. Credits in her logbook include the Pacific Northwest, Australia, Mexico, Bahamas and Bermuda just to name a few. Adventure has recently been 100% prepared to go on a 3 year Mediterranean cruise starting May 2007. Change of plans by owners makes Adventure available for sale. She is 100% provisioned, maintained and ready for any world cruise with the most extensive cruising spares of any Nordhavn. She is competitively priced for an immediate sale.

Tour of the boat – From the Main Salon to the Crews Qtrs in the bow of the boat. 

The main saloon is accessed from the stern of the boat through a set of double doors on the port side.  This arrangement allows for a large settee & table area which is off to the starboard side upon entering the boat.  Directly across from that is a customized entertainment center w/ 42” Flat Screen TV which rises or stores in the entertainment center using an electric lift. The salon also includes a teak storage rack for 4 large rods and reels, a remote VHF radio station and remote for the SSB.  

Galley:

The galley is at the forward end of the saloon and features a  L-shaped breakfast bar along with Corian countertops.  The galley is done in herreshoff styling for both beauty and ease of cleaning.  The galley contains the following appliances:

Owners Cabin:

The owners cabin is just forward of the galley and features a queen size bed along with many drawers and lockers for storage.  On the forward bulkhead in the stateroom is a small entertainment area w/ TV and NavNet plotter for keeping an eye on what’s happening outside Adventure while not on watch, via the 4 closed circuit TV monitors.   Attached to the stateroom is a private head & shower and a remote VHF radio. 

Passageway:

Just outside the owner’s stateroom leading from the engine room door on one end to the crew’s quarters on the other end is the passageway.  Contained in this corridor to the staterooms is the ship’s main electrical panel as well as a washer / dryer, a fold down folding table and a nice sized pantry closet.

Guest Cabins:

At the forward end of the passageway there are two private guest staterooms each containing doublewide berths and private TV’s.  All TV’s can view the ships Sat TV system or one of the two DVD or VHS tape players. Each cabin also has its own private head & shower.

Crews Quarters:

At the forward end of the boat is the crew’s quarters which can accessed either by a private companionway hatch on the bow or through a door in the portside guest stateroom head.  The crew’s quarters includes plenty of storage as well as a private head.

Engine Room:

At the aft end of the passageway is the door to the engine room that allows for easy access to all machinery necessary to run the boat.  At the top of the stairs as you enter you will see the main battery cut off switches.  Venturing further into the engine room you will find the following equipment.

Pilot House:

Coming out of the engine room and then climbing up into the Pilot House you will find the command stations for the vessel.  This area contains a panoramic view of the boat and her surroundings and is comfortable in all weather.  She is controlled through the use of 4 MMC control stations which also contain the use of the bow & stern thrusters.   Other features of the pilothouse is the large settee directly behind the helmsman’s chair along with a day berth.  On the starboard side there is a small office area in which navigating the boat can also be done through the use of a laptop computer.   “Adventure” also has an expansive list of electronics necessary to safely navigate her throughout the waters of the world including many duplicate systems (Redundancy – don’t leave home without it).

Exterior Tour of the boat starting at the stern:

Entering from the stern bustle that is used as a dive platform w/ compressor built right in you will find the aft deck.  This area is equipped with a work station and aft control pod for docking maneuvers.  The workstation includes a freshwater sink as well as fresh and saltwater washdown hoses.  This workstation is currently set up for fishing w/ rod holders being located above and on the gun’ls on each side.

Getting back to the control pod’s (stern and one on each walkway) this vessel has a symmetrical layout allowing for easy docking on either side.

Forward Deck:

Forward of the walkways is the forward deck of the vessel where the water toys are kept.  They are launched through the use of a Airitex SS Davit w/ Power rotation and stainless steel boom holder.  Forward of the tender is the ships windlasses which include color coded chain for easy anchoring.  Also forward are the deck boxes.  To port is used primarily for storage and to starboard is a gasoline fueling station for the tenders including a 40 gallon gasoline storage tank and 12v pump with hose for refilling tenders on board or in the water.

Upper Deck:

At the stern directly behind the wheelhouse is the upper deck seating area.  This area is ideal for many purposes including lounging or an evening dinner in the open air. Two rod holders are available for fishing from this area.

Summary:

“Adventure”, which was going to attend this years Med Bound Rally, has undertaken a major maintenance list, which was recently completed in May. This would include New lifeline batteries, new water maker membranes (2006), main engine coolant pump, exhaust riser for wing, overhaul turbo, overhauled stabilizers, new main engine shaft and shaft coupling and seal boot, newly painted boot strip, new gen set coolant and sea water pumps, new hydraulic sea water cooling pump, all hoses inspected and replaced as needed, all sea water heat exchangers inspected and cleaned as needed, new belts and rubber couplers, keel cooler removed inspected and reinstalled, all systems 100% operating.
