GENERAL:

The Nordhavn 47 is one of the new generation hull shapes in the Nordhavn line that allow greater operating space in the engine room as well as some of the living spaces than its predecessors. Williwaw is one of the most well-traveled Nordhavn 47’s, having logged many miles of cruising up and down the West and East Coasts of North American and the Caribbean.  The 4087 hours on her Lugger engine amount to a fraction of its working life before overhaul.

Williwaw is an example of disciplined boat-keeping and practical outfitting, from the extensive inventory of electronics, to the Boyle expanding hi-lo dinette table to the kayak racks on the pilothouse roof.  She is a diesel-heated, non-flybridge model particularly favored in the Northwest region.  She is also equipped with active fin and paravane stabilizers, an attractive combination for trans-oceanic passagemaking.  The breadth of the equipment list and the spec of the gear make Williwaw a excellent choice for extended cruising this season.

ACCOMMODATIONS & LAYOUT:

Layout – General:

Williwaw is a three-stateroom interior model of the Nordhavn 47.  The master is located midship as is standard on all models, but the section forward of the master is divided by a longitudinal bulkhead into port and starboard staterooms.

Enter from the cockpit through the aft salon door.  The salon has opposing settees port and starboard.  The starboard settee is the primary dinette seating.  The galley is to port and at the forward end of the salon.

To starboard at the forward end of the salon is locker for the stacked washer and dryer.  There are also steps up the to pilothouse in the same area.  In the pilothouse, steps forward and to starboard lead down to a landing for the master stateroom and forward cabins.

The master stateroom and its head are aft from the landing, and the two guest staterooms and their head are forward.

Access the engine room is aft through the master stateroom.

Interior Comfort Detail:

The salon is comfortably open with dinette settee to starboard and an opposing settee to port, creating a very social setting open to the galley.  The upholstery fabric is washable Ultraleather.  Williwaw has a custom Boyle fold-out hi-lo table shown in the accompanying photos.  It provides seating for Thanksgiving dinner, but reduces to an unobtrusive size for daily use.
