Nordhavn 52 Flybridge. September 2014

Available immediately! An opportunity presents for an astute buyer to own a truly beautiful N52#67. Built for her Australian owner and handed over in September 2014, she presents absolutely as a new vessel. There is no need to wait for several years to build your dream. This is the only late model Flybridge N52 currently available in the world. Her gleaming white topsides draw admiration as she plies her local waters. Her owner’s family is expanding, so they have ordered a new Nordhavn 60 which has already begun production. With only 489 hours on her main engine, this fine vessel is in all respects in new Bristol condition. She is a 240 Volt 50Hz CE Compliant vessel, suited to the Australasian, S.E Asian and European electrical environs. She is fully imported into Australia with all Duties and Taxes paid.

The clever layout (“Alternate C” layout) of this vessel, with an “L-shaped” companionway with main deck access to the accommodation, means that the Pilothouse is much more spacious, allowing for a full width symmetrical console. It also offers a ‘day head’ to starboard of the companionway, when the door to the forward centerline Guest Stateroom is closed for privacy.

All of the great benefits of the N52 are on offer. Generous Pilothouse, spacious Flybridge, comfortable saloon, huge cockpit, longer boat deck to carry longer tender, stand-up engine room, massive lazarette with storage space galore. With the selection of stylish interior furnishings, and neutral colours, and the addition of the extensive selection of Options which this vessel offers, she may just be the perfect choice for you and your family. Her offshore capability and pedigree heritage will give you a level of self-assurance you will appreciate when the weather and sea-conditions deteriorate. You will also take great comfort in knowing that your vessel is the authentic, real thing.

This vessel features the new Alternate “C” layout giving easy companionway access to the Master Stateroom and centerline bed Guest Stateroom. This layout features a private Master Stateroom with ensuite, and private Guest Stateroom with ensuite. The clever design allows for the Guest Stateroom ensuite to be utilized as a ‘day head’. A further feature of this layout it that the symmetrical Pilothouse Console occupies full width of the Pilothouse, offering a spacious platform from which to operate the vessel, and extra room for the impressive suite of Electronics. The interior features a light coloured teak with satin finish throughout. All floors are teak and spruce also with satin finish. All horizontal cabinet surfaces in the accommodation areas are finished in Formica “Alabaster”.

The Saloon features a generous dining table to starboard, with L-shaped settee. The table can be lowered and with the addition of custom cushions, converts to a bed. Opposite to port there is an L-shaped settee extending to the galley serving bench. A swing-up table from under the galley counter offers a small work area for a laptop. The standard overheard cupboards above the galley bench have been replaced with a seamless overhead right through the saloon and galley, which gives these areas a spacious feel. A stainless steel safety hand rail has been installed in the saloon overhead. The selected modern neutral colours of the “Pearl” Ultra leather, overhead Majalite, and light cream marble benchtops are stylish and inviting. Lighting throughout is Warm LED, with dimmers. Concealed rope lighting is fitted in the Saloon pelmets. The Saloon, Pilothouse and both cabins are fitted with Marine-Air Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning.

The galley is equipped with a Bosch gas four burner cooktop finished in brushed stainless steel with exhaust hood and Xintex S-2A Flame safety cut-out system, and two 9 kg. Aluminum gas bottles with change-over valve in a dedicated locker in the transom. There is a Bosch Multi-function Microwave, and Bosch Multi-function Oven both finished in brushed stainless steel. A cream marble benchtop and stove splash back offers durability and functionality. There is ample storage for provisions and cooking utensils. There is a sliding locker door to an appliance garage and spice rack forward, a deep double bowl sink to starboard with Grohe tapware. A Sub-Zero combination Fridge and two drawer Freezer and Icemaker is located on the forward galley bulkhead, fitted with ‘Aircraft’ type latches. An opening port light on the portside provides natural ventilation. An additional Waeco front opening Freezer is installed in the companionway below the Meile combination Front Loading Washer and Dryer.

Accessed via a short flight of steps directly from the starboard side of the saloon, the full width Pilothouse offers symmetrical lower and upper consoles, with ample space for electronics and ship management controls. Access to both sides of the Portuguese Bridge is via two ‘Dutch’ style doors, which provide protection and cross flow ventilation. The overhead Majalite is divided into two sections fore and aft. The forward section is paneled in dark coloured padded Majalite to reduce night time glare. The aft section is Majalite ‘Pearl’. There is an L-shaped Ultra leather covered settee to starboard with fixed teak table. Athwartships, aft of the settee is a raised Ultra leather covered berth with handy cupboard at its base. This berth is perfect for the off watch crew. There are two large chart drawers beneath the settee, and lots of cupboards and drawers for Ships Manuals. A hanging locker to starboard is convenient storage for wet weather gear. The offset helm station with small wheel offers excellent vision both forward and to the sides and aft. The Ship’s Electrical Distribution Panel is located to starboard beneath the console and chart table. A chart light is mounted adjacent. All operational controls are placed within easy reach of the helm.

The flybridge includes primary operating controls including Mathers Electronic main engine control, two Todd helm chairs, Stainless Steel destroyer type wheel, a built in settee with cushions and storage, a GRP exhaust stack with wings for mounting radar and communications aerials. Custom locker access to ‘brow’ for storage of bicycles and larger items.

The Master Cabin is accessed via the companionway on the port hand side. Natural ventilation is provided by an opening hatch to the Portuguese bridge area. There is a fore and aft Queen sized bed with night stand and reading lights. The LED overhead lights are dimmers. There are several large drawers and hanging lockers. The Master Cabin ensuite features a separate GRP shower with Grohe tap mixer. The hand basin is set in cream marble with Grohe mixer taps. The toilet is a fresh water Techma ‘Silence’ plumbed to either the black water tank or overboard. There is a mirror fronted cupboard above the hand basin and overheard lighting and forced ventilation fan with timer switch. A security safe is installed in the MSR.

The Guest Cabin is located forward and accessed via the companionway. The Guest Cabin Ensuite is accessed from the companionway to the starboard side before entering the Guest Cabin proper. This layout allows for this ensuite to be used as a ‘day’ heads. The centerline forward Queen sized bed has multiple drawers beneath. The cabin offers three overhead opening hatches with privacy and insect screens, which flood this cabin with light and fresh air. There are hanging lockers, bedside lockers and reading and overhead lights. A floor hatch provides access to a generous storage area and to the grey and black water tanks, for ease of maintenance.
