Cloudy Bay spent the last 3½
years cruising the US including Alaska and South America. She has just
completed her transatlantic crossing and is now lying close to Nordhavn
Europe’s office in Southampton. The sellers have completed their cruising plans
and have decided to place her on the brokerage market.
Cloudy Bay is hull number 32 in the
model line, meticulously specified by her owners. She is built to full European
CE certification, category A, 220 volt 50hz with an Asea 15 power conversion system to allow her to operate in
any electrical environment world wide. She also has full integrated hydraulic package including a ‘Yacht
Controller’ system (hand held main engine and thruster control pad) allowing
the owners to operate/maneuver her with ease, even single handed. As with all
Nordhavn’s CB is a hugely capable boat that will look after her new owners
where ever they may want to go!
Registered Office: PO Box
150, Herschel House, 58 Herschel Street, Sough, Berkshire SL1 1HD. Registered in England No. 4939530
Saloon:
The first difference from the standard 55 interior is that CB has
a gorgeous cherry wood interior.
Entering by way of the large door from the cockpit to the saloon which is off set to starboard. There is a tremendous
feeling of space, ‘L’ shaped settee and the adjustable height dining table with
‘star burst’ inlay pattern to port. Forward of the dinning area is an
integrated 10 bottle wine cooler and built in three draw cabinet.
To the starboard side is further cabinetry for storage and also
housing the entertainment systems including the 40” TV which raises and stores
out of sight within the starboard side cabinetry. Including two Ekornes chairs
The granite topped breakfast bar with seating for two is to the
portside before stepping down two shallow steps to the Galley
Galley:
The galley has the feel of a custom build kitchen you would find
in a house with Granite on all work surfaces including the associated surfaces
out side the galley. All appliances have been upgraded to the very best; Miele including a dedicated plate warmer and the usual
American style Sub-Zero fridge freezer, trash compactor and instant hot water
system. The addition of an ‘appliance barn’ located in the forward port corner
of the work surfaces utilizes an area other wise rarely used, ideal for the
coffee maker, toaster or other items normally utilized on a daily basis and easley accessible while passage making.
- Slide out spice rack
- Miele Microwave Combi Oven – H4081
- Miele Warming Drawer
- Miele Ceramic Hob
- Miele Cooker hood
- Miele Sci plus integrated dishwasher
- Broan 50hz trash compactor
- Frosted glass to both sides
of upper galley cabinets between salon and galley
Owners Stateroom:
Located just forward of the Galley with a king size bed and custom
Handcraft mattress. There is ample drawers, storage
and hanging lockers. A wall mounted 30” TV with book cases under is located on
the opposite bulkhead to the owners berth.
There is access forward to the guest cabin but this would normally
be locked and access to the forward cabin is via the Pilothouse.
The Owners Head is of generous proportions and includes granite on
the counter surfaced and floor. Heated mirror, fresh water flush electric head
and also includes a bath with shower attachments.
From the Saloon,
stairs up to the:
Pilothouse / Captains
Cabin / Day Head:
The design and layout of the 55’s pilothouse gives the impression
that you are aboard a much larger vessel. Very practically laid out to included a good sized fully enclosed captains cabin with
separate heads which double up as the day head. (The day head is finished in
the same style as the owners and guest heads with matching granite).
The pilothouse really is the focal place and very comfortable area
while underway with the ‘Captains’ chair centrally located with excellent visibility
and accessibility to all the control and navigational systems. Chart table to
the portside with drawers beneath and to the lower starboard side of the Stidd
‘Captains’ chair is the main AC/DC ship control panel.
Just behind the command station is a large L shaped seating area
with star burst table and similar to the Captains position it also has excellent
panoramic visibility.
The navigational package is the very latest Furuno Nav Net 3D
system. The package is very comprehensive and incorporates a high degree of
redundancy. See the list below:
Forward Cabin:
Descend from the pilothouse to a small lobby, the guest cabin has been modified from the standard. The central bulkhead and
sliding door has been removed and the berth to port has been enlarged with the
result of a very spacious and light cabin.
The access to the large storage / forward machinery space is in
this cabin.
Guest Heads: Similar the owners heads but with out the bath,
Upgraded water heater in the fwd bilge area
Utility Room:
Accessed via a stairs from the saloon / galley area, this area is
well fitted for functional / everyday onboard domestics. With a large chest
freezer, the washer and separate dryer have been upgraded from standard to Miele. Also a work bench with removable vice. Further storage
and access to the stabilizers.

Access form the utility room via a large access door the engine
room is an owners delight, full standing head room, easy access around
