ACCOMODATIONS
& LAYOUT
“Commander” is an exceptional example of a
Nordhavn 40 Mark II yacht maintained to the exacting standards of her
owner. She has a two stateroom
layout featuring a master stateroom with an island berth forward and a guest
stateroom with two single bunks amidships to port. This cabin also features a Splendide combination
washer/dryer which is vented to the boats exterior. There is a head with an enclosed shower stall to starboard
which is centrally located near boath cabins and only a few steps away from the
saloon & galley. The full
width saloon and galley are on a single level and connect to the cockpit. Abundant storage lockers are present in
every cabin. Larger opening ports
and hatches are provided as part of the MKII model which provide for plenty of
air and light. Moving up into the
pilothouse you will find an off watch berth and settee sitting area. Along with the optional flybridge these
two areas make piloting this boat both comfortable and easy.
Commander has several after-market upgrades
to improve her comfort and safety, including upgraded electric head, electric
holding discharge pump, high water bilge pump alarm, bilge pump counter, galvanic
isolator on both shorepower connections, and many other features listed
below. Commander uses the
WheelHouse maintenance management system which can convey with the boat. WheelHouse provides a detailed planned maintenance
program, recommended spare parts, and electronic documentation, as well as a
detailed record of all preventive maintenance, repair, and modifications
performed on the boat since new. Commander
includes a well organized spares program and all on-hand spare parts are
flagged in WheelHouse.
