INTRODUCTION:

***PRICE REDUCED***

Rainbow Chaser is a well traveled Nordhavn 55 that has been meticulously & professionally cared for. She is hull number 21 of the series and benefited greatly from those hulls which preceded her. She is among the first 55s to get the FRP hard top over the flybridge. Her original owners (from the US East coast) had her delivered to CA and then had the “trip of a lifetime” up to Alaska. She then returned down the West Coast and transited the Panama Canal before arriving home in Virginia. She was listed for sale in 2009 while in Florida and purchased by her current owners who brought her down to their home country in Panama where she has prowled the Pacific Coast – Las Perlas Islands and exploring the east coast of South America arriving in Punte Del Este, Uruguay before returning north where she recently cruised the windward islands of the Lesser Antilles.

With over sixty Nordhavn 55s now launched and our order book for new builds approaching hulls numbering in the seventies, Rainbow Chaser represents a unique opportunity where you can buy an extremely well outfitted trawler with an asking price well below the starting base price for a new boat, and have no wait time at all. Rainbow Chaser is available for viewing by appointment only. She was recently hauled (August 2016) for routine maintenance. At that time she had fresh bottom paint and “PropSpeed” applied.

Recent vessel work includes:
• Hull polished (July 2017)
• Stainless polished (July 2017)
• Touch up paint as needed (July 2017)
• Carpets cleaned (July 2017)
• All cabinets gone through, cleaned & organized (July 2017)

Rainbow Chaser has just arrived in Cabo San Lucas and the owner is eager to sell.  Just think of the possibilities...a well founded boat that's ready to cruise, so just add fuel, provisions, and your sense of adventure!

Important Note: The owner has secured a private, prime slip at the IGY Marina in Cabo San Lucas through the end of 2018 which will be included in the sale.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

Rainbow Chaser is a Panamanian registered vessel.   The hull and topsides have been cleaned and waxed on a regular basis.  Her cruising itinerary includes the breadth of the US west coast, Caribbean cruising, three Panama Canal transits and a South American trip.  She has just had a re-fit in St. Lucia to inspect and clean the underbody including the application of bottom paint, “PropSpeed”, and new zinc anodes. All of the systems are proven and her equipment is sound.

If you are in the market for an outstanding long-range passage maker at an exceptional price please give Rainbow Chaser a very close look.
