Interested in buying and cruising on a Nordhavn? - We have that privilege and love it!

If you have would like to participate in the “Nordhavn experience” and /or dip your toe in the waters of a cruising life before making the commitment, then we believe we have something to offer.

Come for 3 to 4 days or a long weekend as we continue cruising on “Jacobite”, this will enable you to live, look, see, feel the boat and lifestyle.  You will see the modifications and additions we have made to our boat in order to handle her a little easier with only two people, make her more comfortable to live aboard and to suit the conditions we are cruising in, e.g. pasarelle placement, extended aft deck bimini and many more little ideas. 

You can experience (and hopefully answer) some of the questions you probably have: “How do we pick up this buoy when our bow is so high?”; “How do we deploy our flopper stopper?”; “How do we handle power management at anchor?”; “What would we now do without?”; “What would we now specify which we didn’t?”

We are not a professional charter boat, rather a cruising couple with years of part time cruising and live aboard experience on both sail boats and trawlers, and since 2006 on our well equipped Nordhavn 47. 

We are not offering you silver service and gourmet meals, however you won’t starve as you can see by the attached photographs - what we are fundamentally offering is the opportunity to participate and glean more information for your decision making whilst enjoying yourself.

Summer 2009 was spent in the Balearics, Sicily, the Aeolian Islands, Malta and then to southern Italy where the boat has been laid up ashore for the winter. Our season in 2010 will start in May with a visit to either Tunisia or Croatia and then be centred on the west coast of Italy, Corsica, and Sardinia with the plan to spend winter 2010 either in southern Italy or the Ionian. We tend to do a variety of bay hopping, night passages – occasionally with runs of up to 600 nm, and we tend to anchor out a lot of the time.
