8:00am – 5:00pm Northern Lights/Lugger Diesel Class *
The popular all-day engine class presented by Northern Lights’ engine guru, Bob Senter, is being offered one day prior to the start of the Nordhavn Rendezvous allowing owners who may or may not be taking part in the Rendezvous to attend. The class will cover maintenance, repair, and diagnostics. Class size is limited to 18 individuals, and a participation fee of $120 will include a box lunch. Since Rendezvous registration coincides during the duration of the class, any participants attending the rendezvous will have the opportunity to register during the class lunch break.

Nordhavn Electrical Systems & Boat Electricity seminar, presented by Nordhavn’s in-house engineer and technical writer Mike Telleria. Covered topics will include basic electrical theory, Nordhavn’s approach to electrical design, load management considerations, battery issues and maintenance, using foreign shore power, electrical system maintenance, and corrosion avoidance.
Engine Room Tour – Four engine room tours on various sized boats (two under 50 feet, two over 50 feet) will be conducted by Bob Senter from Northern Lights/Lugger. Classes are limited to three people on smaller boats and five people on larger boats. Participation is limited and will be on a first-come first-served basis. Volunteer boats are requested. Anyone wishing to volunteer their boat and/or participate in an Engine Room tour should contact Barry Kallander at email@example.com.

9:30 am – 12:00 p.m. Submarine Base Tour – A van will leave the Seaport for the 15-minute drive to Groton, CT, home of the Submarine Force Museum which maintains the world's finest collection of submarine artifacts. It is the only submarine museum operated by the United States Navy, and as such is the primary repository for artifacts, documents and photographs relating to U.S. Submarine Force history. Enough time will be allotted for a self-guided tour of the museum and the USS Nautilus SSN 571, the first nuclear submarine and a gift shop visit.
