Q: Where do we register?
A: Once you have checked into your hotel room, or your boat is safely in place, you can register at the PAE headquarters at noon on Friday, May 2nd. This will also be the location of the Welcome BBQ which will start at approximately 6 pm, and all of the weekend’s events.

Q: Is fuel available in Dana Point?
A: Yes, just inside the breakwater in a northerly direction off to the right.
Q: What about provisioning?
A: Just a short drive away is a Ralph’s grocery store, a Costco warehouse, as well as a West Marine for supplies. Ask a Nordhavn staff member for directions.
Q: I understand that Bob Senter will be conducting hands-on engine demonstrations. How do I get my boat listed as a host? How do I sign up as a guest?
A: Please see the Seminar Registration page to register your boat and/or yourself for Bob's hands-on engine demonstrations. Due to time constraints and space availability, only one person per boat will be allowed to attend. Schedules will be devised, in part, on a first come-first served basis and we regretfully cannot guarantee that all registrants will be able to participate. However, we will try to include everyone to the best of our ability.
Q: Do I have to open my boat for the Open House on Saturday?
A: No, you are under no obligation to participate in the Open House. We realize some people might be uncomfortable in this type of scenario. We conduct one or two Open House events annually and find they present a terrific opportunity for interested Nordhavn buyers to inspect a variety of Nordhavns at one time. The Open House is not open to the public, but is an invitation-only event offered to clients who are in our database and have established a relationship with a Nordhavn salesperson. The success of past Open Houses has been directly related to the generosity of our owners who allow the use of their boats as display boats. One of the highlights for Open House attendees is the chance to speak with actual owners about their various travels and about Nordhavn ownership in general. We encourage owners to “hang out” and speak to the invited guests, whether or not your boat happens to be a display boat. The Open House will take place on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. (Please be aware that the Open House may coincide with some of Bob Senter’s hands-on engine room demonstrations.) Please indicate your participation preference on the Seminar Registration page.
Q: If I choose not to attend the seminars, what is there to do nearby?
A: Near the raft-up at the northwest end of the harbor is the Ocean Institute which is fun for all ages. There is also shopping and eateries in the harbor. A short drive north is the San Juan Mission which is a beautiful place to visit and rich with history. Weather permitting, there is a beach near the raft-up (“baby beach”) as well as nearby Doheny State Beach just down the road from the harbor. Additional beaches are located on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) heading south in Capo Beach. Continuing south on PCH will take you to the next town of San Clemente, which has a nice downtown with shops and restaurants, a pier and beautiful beaches.
