Our N40 has performed flawlessly in the year and a half we have lived aboard.  Our cruising history to date has been in Florida, most of the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Virgins, Leewards, Windwards, offshore Venezuelan islands, Venezuela, Bonaire, Curacao, and now Aruba.

There have been very few problems and most of them were self-inflicted. The Lugger main engine has never missed a beat. The boat is extremely seaworthy and provides a ride much more comfortable than one would imagine in a 40-foot boat.  Big seas from any direction have never been a problem.  It is one tough boat.  Pride of ownership is constantly renewed as in every anchorage or port we have visited, people want a tour and information about the boat.  Megayacht captains have been enthusiastic in their praise forour 40 footer, and the sail boaters are really jealous.
