Larry Gieselman Sales Representative
Larry Gieselman started working for P.A.E. in 1981 managing the commissioning/purchasing department. He then moved to sales in 1983 selling brokerage boats and Mason Sailboats making him P.A.E's first salesman. Larry continued selling Nordhavns starting with their introduction in 1989 and, to date, has sold more pre-owned Nordhavns than anyone in the world. Having traveled to and sold Nordhavns in Europe and Australia, one of his more famous clients is the singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett, who bought a Nordhavn 62 from Larry in 1997. Having grown up part of the Nordhavn family, Eric started his career with PAE as a commissioning team member in both California and Florida. James Leishman Sales Representative
James Leishman is the most recent addition to the Nordhavn Sales staff having joined the West Coast office in early 2005. A long-time boater, James grew up on Mason sailboats and Nordhavns with his family. He also currently enjoys spending free time on his sailboat where he hones his fishing and free diving skills. James graduated from California State University at Fullerton with a degree in anthropology. James spent three months participating in PAE’s Nordhavn Atlantic Rally as a crewmember on the Nordhavn 57 Atlantic Escort. Devin Zwick Sales Representative
Devin Zwick is the newest yacht broker to join the Southwest Sales office, having come aboard early 2014. A Southern California native who grew up puttering around in small boats, Zwick has spent the majority of the past 12 years working in the marine industry and brings a wealth of world experience and technical skills to Nordhavn.
As a teen, Zwick worked as a deckhand on various sportfishing boats prior to studying for his Associates Degree in Fire Science, and later as a mechanic on board a 55-foot Viking, 70-foot Queenship and a 145-foot Westship. He later founded Delta Yacht Management, overseeing the budget and crews of the boats he’d worked on. At the same time, Zwick was introduced to Nordhavn as captain of an N55, which led to more jobs delivering different Nordhavns, including one trip from the Galapagos to Auckland. Other deliveries took him from Panama to Brazil with stops in the San Blas Islands, Trinidad & Tobago and Brazil as well as Uruguay.
“I’ve helped a wide range of boat owners enjoy their vessels, which I have come to love over the past six years,” notes Zwick. “I know these boats well and feel I can be a great asset to anybody looking to buy a new or brokerage boat by steering them in the direction most prudent for their personal cruising plans.

Dave Balfour Sales Representative
Dave Balfour comes to P.A.E.’s northeast office after nearly 2 decades in the boating industry. He worked as manufacturing engineer at Boston Whaler and then jumped to Freedom/Legacy Yachts where he was customer service manager and later a salesman. As a broker with P.A.E.’s Rhode Island office since 2003, Dave has recorded scores of new and used Nordhavn sales as well as countless bluewater miles on board them. A highly skilled boat handler, Dave was handpicked to help crew a Nordhavn 43 taking part in the Med Bound rally on the Bermuda to Newport leg. Ben Sprague Sales Representative
Ben Sprague joins us after having spent 12 years working as Director of Sales and Marketing for GMT Composites – a carbon spar and marine composites manufacturing business. Prior to that he was a salesman with Hood Yacht Systems for 6 years. Ben has been around boats much of his life from sailing dinghies to 80 ft. maxi-ocean racers. He is experienced offshore having voyaged from Newfoundland to Honduras, trans-Atlantic and six times to Bermuda from his native New England. On a delivery to the Bahamas he was caught by a late season hurricane, spent three days in a lifeboat and rescued at sea by a Cuban tanker. Andy Hegley Sales Representative/SE Sales Manager
Andy was born and raised in England where he developed a passion for adventure and meeting people. This led to years spent exploring places like the Canary Islands, Canada, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and finally, New Zealand and Australia where he spent three years surfing Manly Beach, diving the Great Barrier Reef and sailing Sydney Harbour. He later returned to the U.K. and he developed a successful sales and marketing business which he ran for 10 years. After coming to the U.S. with his young family in tow, Andy thrived in retail sales before joining P.A.E. in 2003. While managing the Florida office, he continues to enjoy his experiences and friendships built with the staff, the Nordhavn owners and future owners. Chuck Pickover Sales Representative
Chuck Pickover joins Nordhavn Yachts Southeast bringing with him nearly 30 years experience in yacht brokerage sales. He most recently spent time selling Nordhavns with Yacht Tech and is excited to come to Nordhavn where he can “build upon the experience and relationships” he developed there.
A Miami native, Chuck always had a passion for the sea, and started his career in yacht sales with the renowned Allied Marine Group. Although inexperienced at the time, he made up for it with perseverance, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. He spent the next 17 years at Allied selling hundreds of boats.
He followed up his time at Allied with two years at Lazzara Yachts before starting his own brokerage firm, CMP Yacht Sales. He teamed with Sun Power Diesel and turned the partnership into the nation’s top Rampage dealership.
Chuck’s vast knowledge of the boating market will serve customers well, no matter what boat they might be looking for, but he is especially keen to work with Nordhavn prospects. “With the knowledge I’ve gained from numerous past Nordhavn sales, I feel I can expertly guide customers in finding the perfect boat for them – whether scouring the world for the ideal pre-owned yacht or overseeing the design and build of their new dream Nordhavn model,” says Chuck.

Ted brings a wealth of boating and sales experience to Nordhavn. Ted has spent more than 33 years in the marine industry, starting in Portsmouth, RI selling new and used sailboats. He later joined Pearson Yachts as regional sales manager. He returned to retail sales running Eastern Yacht Sales in Rhode Island before moving to Alden Yachts where he was Senior Broker. While at Alden, Ted helped bring several new sail and powerboat designs to the marketplace and soon rose to VP of Sales. He relocated to Florida in 2003 where he served as Sales Director for The Hinckley Company. Ted came to work for Nordhavn Yachts SE in the Spring of 2008. Don Kohlmann Sales Representative/NW Sales Manager
Don started sailing from an early age on San Francisco Bay with his father, eventually getting involved in racing various types of boats from high performance dinghies to IOR maxi boats, and the Santa Cruz style sleds. Sailing became a fulltime profession following college, and included two America’s Cup campaigns - including the successful defense by “Freedom” in 1980 - race boat project management, and as a salesman for North Sails, sometimes sailing as many as two-hundred days per year, often with some of the best sailors in the world. He made the connection with Nordhavn while managing the boatbuilding company Pacific Seacraft, the builder of the original tooling and the first 44 hulls of the Nordhavn 40. In 2005 Don was tapped to open and manage the new Nordhavn Yachts Northwest office in Seattle. Since that time, nearly 25 boats have been commissioned in Seattle. Don’s objective remains to promote, sell, and provide a center for Nordhavns based in, or transiting through, the extraordinary cruising grounds of the Pacific Northwest. After 38 years in the marine industry, Don says “there is no other company that I would rather be with than PAE/Nordhavn, and in one of the most beautiful regions imaginable”. Michelle Anderegg Sales Representative
Michelle joins the Northwest office bringing with her a rich and diverse boating history. She literally grew up on the water, her parents deciding to move aboard a 30-ft O’day sailboat weeks after her birth. Later they moved on to a 41-ft Morgan out-island ketch where Michelle divided her time between homeschooling lessons and diving and exploring the Bahamas’ turquoise waters. As a youngster, she quickly became adept at boat handling and thought nothing of riding out 50 knot squalls at anchor.
The notion that boating would play a role in her future was practically unavoidable. After she got married, she and her husband moved to Newport, RI, and got jobs crewing on charter boats and doing deliveries. Years later, the couple relocated across the country and Michelle got her first yacht broker job at Dreamcatcher Yachts in Dana Point, CA, just steps away from the former Nordhavn sales office.
She found great success selling boats and soon partnered in the purchase of Dreamcatcher as well as a neighboring brokerage outfit; they repped Pacific Seacraft, Selene, Jefferson and Fathom. Through Pacific Seacraft, she became acquainted with then-production manager Don Kohlmann as well as with the Nordhavn 40 which, at the time, was being built there.
Michelle sold Dreamcatcher in 2009 to pursue other interests but couldn’t escape the boating bug. When she and her husband moved to Seattle last year, she reached out to Don Kohlmann, current sales manager at Nordhavn Yachts Northwest, just as he was looking to fill a broker’s position.
“Although we were competitors with our Selene line, we always admired Nordhavn,” said Michelle. “So when it came time to decide where I wanted to sell boats, I thought Nordhavn would be a good fit. Mark Gilbert Sales Representative
Mark Gilbert is an industry vet having sold boats in the Pacific Northwest area since 1983. He worked with dealers repping high end cruising sailboats such as Pacific Seacraft, Tartan, Valiant and Cabo Rico; as well as quality motor yachts including Offshore and DeFever. Mark was one of the first salesmen to obtain a CPYB certification and his expertise earned him positions on several NYBA (Northwest Yacht Brokers Association) committees. A familiar face on the local and national boat show circuit, Mark describes his selling style as “consultative selling” and will go to extraordinary lengths to assist his clients realize their boating dreams.
Mark literally has grown up around the world: he lived abroad in India, Borneo, and Venezuela as a youngster, then his family relocated to Spokane, WA where he graduated high school. He followed up a BS in Preventive Medicine from the University of Washington with a stint in the Peace Corps in the southern Philippines from 1970-72. He’s a skilled woodworker, having worked as an owner/operator of an industrial woodworking business. For fun, he took up sailing which led to a professional career in the boating industry.
During what proved to be a bit of foreshadowing, Mark was introduced to PAE in the late ‘90s while working with a customer on a new Mason 44 build. He met Jim Leishman - who offered him job with the company on the spot! And although very impressed with the brand, he was unable to relocate to southern California. Kelly Want Sales Representative
Kelly grew up in Australia, and began her Maritime career on the Great Barrier Reef. After moving to Thursday Island she became the youngest and only female Captain to work for the Queensland Pilot Service at that time. After many years guiding ships through the treacherous waters surrounding Cape York in the remote far north, she moved to the Whitsunday islands to sail as a Captain for Charter Company Prosail. Whilst there Kelly won a Master Mariners "Excellence in Marine Training" award and completed her Master Class 5 ticket.
After meeting her husband-to-be, Kelly moved with him to the United Kingdom where she again worked on the water, delivering new Oyster Yachts around the Mediterranean and across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. She then qualified as a Royal Yachting Association Instructor working on the South Coast teaching all levels of students from novice to Yachtmaster. After several years in the United Kingdom Kelly headed home to Oz, where she now successfully balances the commitments of family life with her husband and two children, and her continued association with the marine industry and love of the ocean.
