Dave Register of Islamorada, FL USA asks:
Just tumbled to your site. It's great! We wish you clean diesel and following seas. (And of course, tight lines!)
Dave and Kathi
M/V Dyad
lying Pensacola enroute Bahamas.
Scott Flanders from Egret responds:
Dave and Kathi, Small world. Just last night we were showing some Brits
here in Mar Del Plata, Argentina some Bahamas pictures including several
pictures of your boat. Clean diesel is something we work very hard at. We
checked the tanks the other day and they are still clean after the last
check in Gibraltar. Tight lines are over until probably Ecuador as far as
trolling.
I would encourage you to take Dyad to the Meditereanean. The cruising there
is fantastic and actually easier than the Bahamas during the winter. (The
weather is more settled during the cruising season) Clean your tanks, load
up with everything you can carry and join Milt and Judy Baker, Nordhavn 47 -
Bluewater, next May when they cross to Gibraltar via Bermuda and the Azores.
They now have as many as four boats crossing with them. It would be great fun. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MedBound2007/ is their website. On the
nordhavn.com, Voyage of Egret Warm Up Cruise is where we wrote about our
last cruising season in the Med to give you a flavor along with some
pictures. Take care and good cruising, Scott and Mary |
