Subject: St Helena
We very pleased that you were able to stop at St Helena Island. My
wife, Sharon, and I visited St Helena and Ascension Islands on a month-long
voyage of the RMS St Helena in 1997 from Cape Town to Cardiff, Wales. It was a
wonderful experience, with our week stay on St Helena the highlight of the
trip. Many years later, looking for something "not too boring" to do in our
upcoming retirement years, we bought our first (and only) boat, a Nordhavn 35,
hull # 19. We, of course, named her "St. Helena".
We have cruised from Mexico to Alaska on the outside and now spend 3-4 months
each summer in BC and Alaskan waters. Our time on our St. Helena have been the
best of our lives.
We have followed your log since it began and always look forward to catching up
with your adventures after being away from the internet. Wishing you many more
years at sea......

Gary and Sharon, We too enjoyed St Helena and Ascension a lot. Also, thank you
for following VofE all these years.
Just a thought. If you brought St Helena to the U.S. East Coast or nearby
Bahamas and took your time working with Dockwise, you could probably get a great
deal shipping to the Med snuggled among the mega yachts. If you did you would
love the Med and St Helena is the perfect size.
