Mike Clark, Riverside, RI USA asks:
I work as a locomotive engineer. (I drive trains.) My route
brings me by marinas in Rhode Island and Connecticut. I kept noticing a
beautiful boat at one of the marinas in Rhode Island. It intrigued me.
After doing some research, I found it to be a Nordhavn 62. The Nordhavn
site led me to you. I've been following along ever since. I've been
living vicariously through you. I'd like to thank you for bringing me
along on your adventure. Someday I'd like to be able to do the same. (I
may have to hit the lottery first.) If your travels ever bring you and
"Egret" to Rhode Island, let me know. I'd love to say hello. Until
then, thank you for bringing me along.
Scott Flanders from Egret responds:
Mike, we are happy you are enjoying Voyage of Egret. We enjoy helping
dreams along. Egret was in Newport, Sept. 2003 and enjoyed it thoroughly
along with the boat show. To be honest we have no plans at this time to
return to the US east coast. There is to much to see south and west of the
'left' coast. Keep focused and savin'. When your day comes you never know.
There may be a used Nordhavn in your future. In the mean time keep the
shiny side down (wheels) and the dark side up.
