Owner’s cruising plans: One of the beautiful things about Nordhavn is having your boat shipped from the factory and dropped off to be commissioned in the area you most want to cruise. For this Florida resident, that meant receiving his boat at our Seattle office, which is typically used as a jumping-off point for all boats heading to Alaska. Our Southeast and Northwest offices partnered up to give the customer exactly what he wanted; he’ll depart in approximately two weeks for Alaska. He originally had his sights set on doing the Northwest Passage but conflicts derailed that plan. His new itinerary includes the next two seasons in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, then to Hawaii, the South Pacific and eventually Australia. Far future plans have the boat being shipped to the Med for some extensive exploring of Europe.

Notes about this boat:

  • Thicker bow and chines for ice conditions

  • Larger main engine - John Deere 6135AFM (365HP @ 1800RPM - M1 rating)

  • Higher horse power wing engine - John Deere 4045AFM85 HE 24V Diesel M1 rated "Wing Engine" - 160 hp with ZF 631V 2.477:1 V-Drive transmission - Wing controls to be Morse cable

  • Full hydraulic system with STAR stabilization at rest - including windlass, bow and stern thrusters

  • Chilled water air con

  • Hurricane diesel heating system

  • Teak and spruce flooring

  • Custom galley layout

  • Additional Sub Zero integrated drawer refrigerator with teak face in salon under stairway leading from salon to the pilothouse

  • Owners head shower moved outboard to port with toilet relocated inboard to stbd

  • 2 x Stidd chairs - 'White'

  • Port side chart table in the PH cut back to allow for better floor space outboard of the port side Stidd helm chair

  • Granite #41 in the galley, heads, and countertops on the port & stbd sides of the salon

  • Extended swim platform with added “hump” beneath

  • Storm plates added to the port side salon windows

The owner has owned many boats in the past, several of them custom, as he pursued sport fishing far and wide, but this is his first full-displacement boat. There is an elegantly simple theme to the interior décor. A clean, minimalistic approach was taken with an all-white theme including white granite countertops in the galley and heads, and white upholstery. In the galley, the white is offset by the teak flooring which runs throughout the boat. At the same time there is also a very detailed focus on the electronics and pilothouse functionality, and of course, comfort. While a mostly standard layout, the owner opted to put an oversized settee on the port side of the saloon as well as a huge television (on power lift that disappears out of sight when not in use), perfect to pass time on those long passages.
