It’s been said that Nordhavns speak for themselves. After all, just take a look through this website and you’ll see that we don’t need to tell you our boats can and do go anywhere. Still, you don’t know what you don’t know, meaning there was a time when not many people had heard of Nordhavn. So we started advertising our designs, first just in Passagemaker magazine. But as our line grew so did the scope of our marketing campaign. Today you can spot a Nordhavn advertisement in one of more than two dozen magazines worldwide.

And so it also was with our informational materials. Funny to think that back in the days when the N46 and N62 were the only models in the line-up, we used to send out spiral-bound notebooks, with nary an actual glossy photograph to people interested in our yachts. This evolved into slick, PR agency-produced brochures for the individual boats, only to be  replaced a few years back by our company’s biannual (now annual) in-house magazine, Circumnavigator.

Times certainly have changed and we thought it might be interesting to take a trip down memory lane via advertisement- and brochure-documented timelines.
