A Nordhavn tale of thanks and giving

See Nordhavns This Winter

Sure, the weather might be frightful outside where you live, but now is the perfect time to start thinking about a boat for the next cruising season. Contrary to popular thinking, boat shows aren’t just for the fall. There’s actually a number of great shows happening this winter – no matter which coast you’re on – and Nordhavns will be front and center at many of them. So stop by and thaw out with the warm and fuzzy feeling of sitting on a Nordhavn.

There are two items to note while you’re checking out our Calendar of Events for a complete list of shows Nordhavn plans to participate in: Northwest Passage adventurer, Sprague Theobald, and his trusty Nordhavn 57, will be a feature display at the Seattle Boat Show. Guests are invited to tour the boat whose hull was apprehensively yet successfully used to break up the quickly receding Arctic ice, allowing her crew to continue through safely. Bagan has been documented as the first production powerboat ever to complete a transit of the Northwest Passage. Her skipper and crew will be on hand to answer questions and Theobald will even present two seminars at the boat show’s Quest Field Center complex. Click here for more details.

In other boat-show related news, Nordhavn will be displaying at the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show (located on Collins Avenue in South Beach) this February. This is a change of venue for us from the Marriott location where we’ve been for the past several years. We hope the Yacht and Brokerage show will be a more convenient location for Miami area show-goers. Confirmed for that show is the Nordhavn 75 Expedition Yachtfisher and we’re currently working on another display boat in the 60+ foot range. Stay tuned to the calendar for more details.
