The Nordhavn MS56 is a unique offering in yacht design. It takes inherent strengths of sailboat and displacement powerboat designs and combines both to create a truly formidable vessel. “Deo Juvante”, MS56 hull #09, is the youngest Motorsailer built and comes to the marketplace after proving herself by taking her current owner solo across the Atlantic last year. She comes with the very latest B&G 5000 electronics and is equipped for shorthanded cruising, OR, for happy, safe and comfortable family cruising. There are no limits to where she can adventure. She was constructed in 2010 and served mainly as a “boat show” model for PAE until 2016 when her current owner bought her. She is available for sale immediately and is European VAT paid. Water tank:

Fuel tank:
  • Number and capacity: Three (3) main tanks totalling 2839 litre (750 gal) with one centreline aluminium "Supply Reservoir" at 45 litre (12 gal)  which will gravity feed from the 2  main wing tanks and 1 aft tank
  • FRP construction with Vinylester resin 
  • Inspection plates appropriately positioned for interior access by average size man.  Each internal baffle with a removable panel to allow access to entire interior of both fuel tanks
  • Fuel system to include an aluminium supply reservoir, which feeds by gravity from 3 fuel tanks.  Top part of supply reservoir to hold approximately 7.6 litre (2gal) and fitted with a sight gauge with a 3.8 litre (1 gal) range and .4 litre (10th gal) marks for fuel consumption checks (supply lines are turned off and fuel is consumed from reservoir).  Bottom part of reservoir to be approximately 37.8 litre (10 gal) fitted with a drain off at the bottom of the reservoir for water purging and with a water sensor - illuminating a light in wheelhouse if excessive water is present.  Reservoir fitted with three draw spigots for main, generator, and spare - mounted at lower level of reservoir but above water sensing probe.  All returns from main, and generator plumbed into reservoir
  • Sight gauges on all three tanks
  • Each tank to be air tested to 1.5Kg (4lb) per sq. inch
  • Provide baffles on 61cm (24") centres
  • Transfer manifold and Walbro (WLB 6802) fuel pump with timer switch and Racor 900MA fuel filter which can transfer fuel from one tank to another and scrub fuel while transferring.  Transfer is also used to fill top part of supply reservoir for consumption testing when main fuel tank level drops below the level of the testing part of the reservoir 

Fuel pipe and hose:
  • Supply lines from tanks to supply reservoir are 19mm (3/4") ID with Aeroquip brand fuel hose and swaged fittings
  • Fuel line from supply reservoir to main engine filter is 13mm (1/2") ID with Aeroquip brand fuel hose and swaged fittings
  • Fuel lines from supply reservoir to optional generator  to be 13mm (1/2") ID with Aeroquip brand fuel hose and swaged fittings
  • Vent lines to be USCG fuel certified, reinforced hose 19mm (3/4") ID
  • Fuel fill hose to be Trident #A2 type, 5cm (2") I.D. US Coast Guard approved  

Water hoses:
  • Hot water: 12mm (1/2") dia. Shurflo brand "Shurpex semi rigid tubing or equivalent with all Shurpex red fitting
  • Cold water: 12mm (1/2") dia. Shurflo brand "Shurpex semi rigid tubing or equivalent with all Shurpex blue fittings
  • Sea water hoses: Trident reinforced rubber certified for marine use and provided with double stainless steel clamps below the water line
  • Water heater: Seaward #S1100 or Attwood (11 gallon) (41.6 l) for 220 volt and heat exchanger operation
