The appearance of a Nordhavn 55 on the Australian brokerage market is a very rare occurrence, especially a N55 with moderately low engine hours, and the extensive inventory of "MV Last Mango".

"MV Last Mango" has been built and equipped for world cruising without regard to cost, and is equipped with a comprehensive set of the very best of boat systems and navigation aids, most of which have been duplicated and are capable of being replaced whilst the vessel is still underway, so avoiding unnecessary port delays.

From the moment you step aboard you will be impressed by the tastefully chosen fittings & appointments which we believe place "MV Last Mango" in the "most sought after" category.

Why not take time for a leisurely browse through this vessel's impressive Inventory and see for yourself why she is such a special offering.

A dry exhaust, a signature design element of most Nordhavns, eliminates the need for a large through-hull fitting and raw water pump, greatly reducing the risk of failure at sea, and additionally increasing engine life.

  • Three cabins, (three double berths): Owner's private ensuite, Guest private ensuite, Captain's cabin with head and hand basin

  • Long a Nordhavn feature, the main saloon opens directly to the aft cockpit, which is on the same level. This design effectively expands the living area from the inside to the outside.

  • The asymmetrical cabin design allows for a wider main saloon and galley and features a wide side deck on the starboard side

  • A large, L-shaped settee and beautifully finished teak table are adjacent to two comfortable reading chairs

  • Saloon table height is adjustable on gas strut, and can be adjusted for leg room

  • Two custom teak and stainless bar chairs face the pass-through counter top in the galley, which is two steps down from the saloon

Owner's Stateroom
The owner's stateroom is on the same level as the galley, and it is located amidships, where the motion is most comfortable during passages and while at anchor. A queen sized, walk-around berth, two hanging lockers and a spacious head complete with a shower/bath tub rival the space of most home bedrooms. An optional Lewmar hatch is installed to allow fresh air and light into this space.

Guest Cabin
Forward is a spacious guest cabin with double sized berth, huge hanging locker, office desk and retractable chair, and private head with stall shower. The head and shower can be used as a 'day' head when the guest cabin doors are closed.

The Nordhavn 55 shows her serious side in her commercial-like pilothouse. Located amidships for minimal motion at sea, it provides excellent, 360-degree visibility. A full-sized black Ultraleather Stidd chair and destroyer type wheel puts the captain comfortably in command of his ship, with all electronics and controls within sight and reach. The ship's electrical distribution panel is located to starboard of the helm station, beneath the counter. Aft of the helm chair, an L-shaped settee and table, elevated for superior visibility, will seat three to four crew members. Beneath the settee are full-sized chart drawers and additional storage. Captain's cabin with double-sized berth and adjacent head and wash basin. Perfect for the off-watch crew on long passages, this area also serves as a private guest stateroom.

Forward Machinery Space
Accessed via a floor hatch in the guest cabin, this area houses the vessel's house water plumbing, Village Marine Watermaker.
This space provides access to the ABT TRAC electric thruster motor and battery.
Also housed in this space is a large selection of spare parts specific to the vessel, along with a list of spares in the Ships Manuals.

This most popular and proven model, from Jeff Leishman's design board is a veteran now of numerous ocean crossings and extreme voyages.
A change of personal direction for her owner now means that "MV Last Mango" is reluctantly offered for sale. Antifouled and underwater maintenance was carried out in February 2017.

"MV Last Mango" is located in the city of Cairns, North Queensland, an easy commuter flight from most major Australian airports, entered around an iconic World Heritage reef system, in a great cruising location with hundreds of islands to explore. This is the perfect base for an exploratory shake down cruise, before heading off on the voyage of your lifetime.
