Notes about this boat:
This is the second Nordhavn for these owners. Their first was a Nordhavn 47, also called “Sequel”, has been re-christened “Escape Velocity” by the new owners.
The owners are thrilled with the layout of the new “Sequel”, and have enjoyed the commissioning process having made a few trips between their CA home and the Nordhavn Northwest office in Elliott Bay Marina, Seattle. Their attendance during the commissioning process added to their systems familiarity, so upon completion, and based upon their previous experience with the N47, they were ready head up to their slip in Sidney.
The electronics were done by Performance Marine Electronics of Newport Beach, CA, and interacting with Stewart and Chris during commissioning was a very pleasant and informative experience.
Emerald Harbor Marine, our go-to folks in Seattle, and in particular, Brad Miller of Emerald also commissioned the diesel heating system, and assisted the Nordhavn commissioning team. Brad also installed the beautiful 24” Hatteland monitors during commissioning. The result is impressive. Since the hallway interior access eliminates one set of stairs in the pilothouse, the instrument console has plenty of space to accommodate pretty much any electronics complement desired. The layout also affords space for two helm chairs side-by-side.
The Browns have been truly enjoyable to work with. They have been so enthusiastic and appreciative throughout the process. They reported back after their initial run up to Sidney how thrilled they are with the performance of the new “Sequel”.
