The owners are really interested in cruising the Great Loop and with the boat now located in Florida, that is the perfect place to start their voyage up the East Coast starting in the Spring of 2019. Getting to know the boat over the next 9 months would include local trips around Florida as well as the Bahamas. Their long range plans include cruising the boat to the West Coast via the Panama Canal, eventually landing in their home port of San Francisco Bay. The Pacific Northwest and Alaska are definite future destinations.
Notes about this boat:
This boat is hull number 1 of the new Nordhavn 59 CP model and was used as a demonstrator by PAE since her arrival to the West Coast almost two years ago. Now called "Independence" by the new owners, she has successfully cruised from Southern California to Seattle and back again. She was used for West Coast client viewings and sea trials and was featured in most boat shows. “Independence” was then shipped to Florida where she continued cruising and participated in many sea trials and boat shows starting in Florida, and up to Newport RI, and returning to Florida again where she was purchased by her new owners.
