Captain’s cabin aft of helm and Pilothouse settee and table have been customized to convert from an additional cabin/sleeping space to a home gym. N6309 called Promesa is owned by a couple, the wife - being a world ranked Ironman athlete – who needed space for her bike trainer and treadmill, which are stowed when not in use.
Boat has a custom "U" shaped seating area on the upper aft deck.
Owners’ residence: The owners will keep residences in Washington, DC and San Juan, Puerto Rico but consider themselves liveaboards. The boat will be berthed in Annapolis, MD.
Customer cruising plans: The owners plan on departing the southeast prior to the end of the year bound for Puerto Rico and will spend the winter there. They’ll then explore the Caribbean with the goal of making it up to Annapolis by Spring 2016.
Notes about this boat: The couple stopped by our Northeast office in Portsmouth, RI during the summer of 2013, on their way back home from Montreal where Crissy Fuentes had just competed in an International Iron Man competition. The couple have been passionate sailors, cruising and racing boats most of their married life. While in RI, they visited then newly delivered N6824 Fotini as well as a brokerage N47 and decided their ideal boat would be somewhere between the two sizes.
Research led them to choosing between the N60 and N63, with the N63 winning out due largely to the ability to better accommodate Crissy’s training equipment as well as the more open look and feel to the N63’s main salon. José Fuentes will continue to work while living aboard, so the additional clothes storage space in the master to accommodate for suits was a must
