Join N68 Argo as she crosses the Pacific
Ever want to follow an ocean-crossing Nordhavn in real time? Here’s your chance to do so. At this very minute, Nordhavn 68, hull 23 is transiting the Pacific Ocean from Hawaii to Dana Point, California, and you can follow along her every move via the SPOT tracking device she’s equipped with.
The 2,300 nm trip is the culmination of a fantastic year-and-a-half long itinerary spent exploring New Zealand and the South Pacific islands for owners Randy and Rebecca Tisch. The Tisches departed Florida on board their N68 Argo in February 2014 and visited Central America, transited the Panama Canal, and made stops in The Galapagos, The Marquesas, French Polynesia, Samoa, Fiji and Tonga, and finally New Zealand where they’ve kept the boat for most of 2015.
Now they’re ready to be back in the U.S. mainland and enlisted Nordhavn Yachts Southeast salesman and delivery captain Devin Zwick to give them a hand on the two (plus-or-minus)-week journey. The crew departed Honolulu on Thursday and expect to arrive in Dana Point on October 27.
Since taking delivery of Argo in 2012, the Tischs have logged around 45,000 nm on board, covering both sides of North America in addition to their South Pacific voyage, but they’ve decided to take a break and are listing Argo for sale.
